35 – Patrick Smith

Patrick Smith played for the Greyhounds as a 5th Grader. By selection of his teammates, he was awarded the first Best Teammate Award, during the inaugural 2007 Greyhound Season. He was awarded the Game Ball for Game 3 in 2007 by the Greyhound coaches. Patrick also committed to play for the 2008 Greyhounds (the “lost Greyhounds”). The Greyhound “Best Teammate” Award is named for him.

After his Greyhound career, Patrick Smith served as an Upward Basketball Assistant Coach for the 2009 Yellow Jackets, as well as playing in the 2009 and 2010 Greyhound Challenge Games. In subsequent seasons, he attended practices and games, helping in ways from coaching, inspirational speaking, running the scoreboard, and filming games. As of the 2018 season, Patrick Smith has participated in some form of fashion with every Greyhound team.
